This Javascript application shows some phenomena of wave mechanics by the simulation of the motion of some points of a continuous elastic one-dimensional medium.

These simulations, made accessible by the item of the menu, are:

All these selections start an animation based on initial default values of the related parameters in conventional units.

The values of these parameters can be changed by writing new values in the input fields below the graphic.

After the change, you can restart the animation by clicking on the button start.

You can stop or clear an animation by clicking on the button stop.

The item propagation allows further specifications on the phenomenon.
